Sustainability Policy
Message
Our company is committed to minimising the environmental impact of our events by reducing waste, conserving resources, and promoting sustainable practices. We prioritise eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient solutions, and local partnerships. Our goal is to deliver exceptional experiences while fostering a positive impact on both people and the planet.

What is Sustainability?
Sustainability refers to the responsible use of resources to meet present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. In the context of event management, this involves considering the environmental, social, and economic impacts of your events, aiming to minimise negative effects and maximise
positive outcomes.
Importance of Sustainability in Event Management
Environmental Impact: Events often generate significant waste, consume energy, and result in carbon emissions due to transportation, materials, and resources used. A focus on sustainability helps reduce these environmental impacts.
Client and Attendee Expectations:
Many clients and attendees are becoming increasingly conscious of
environmental issues. They may prefer to work with or attend events organized by companies that prioritise sustainability.
Cost Efficiency:
Sustainable practices, such as reducing waste, conserving energy, and choosing eco-friendly materials, can lower operational costs in the long run. Sometimes, doing the right thing can also be more costly and it is incumbent on us as an event agency to ensure we are putting sustainable options and decisions in front of our clients so that they in turn can make better and more informed sustainable decisions.
Reputation and Competitive Advantage:
Being known as a sustainable business can enhance your company’s reputation and differentiate you from competitors, attracting new clients and partnerships.

Summary
CSL have been at the forefront of event management and hospitality since 1988. That’s a lot of events created in 40 years. From small intimate creations to major productions, we have worked with international companies, statutory and industry bodies and a range of Irish corporations, helping them to deliver highly effective events, conferences and meetings. We know that a successful event requires meticulous attention to detail, the detail is crucial and this we get. But we also
look at how we can strategically create long-term value from your event marketing activity working with our clients to integrate their event activity into their marketing strategy.
CSL recognise that these events that we create and execute and other activities that we carry out on behalf of clients has an impact on the environment. CSL is committed to being a leader in environmental sustainability both in the way we carry
out our operations and the suppliers that we choose to partner with on each and every project. Environmental sustainability means conducting our business in a manner that acknowledges and takes responsibility for the impact are operations have on the environment.
We are committed to continued improvements and are working to implement best practice Sustainable Event Management standards. Further to this we commit to working with third party suppliers to make them aware of our policy and to look at their own policy and commitment to sustainability. We also commit to involving stakeholders in working to identify the most material aspects to environmental sustainability throughout our business. We commit to encouraging, guiding and supporting our
staff in accordance with this policy and to setting objectives and targets to ensure continual improvement in sustainability.

Implementing a Sustainability Strategy
Set Clear Goals: Define what sustainability means for your company and establish achievable targets.
Train Your Team: Ensure your staff understands the importance of sustainability and how they can contribute.Provide training on waste reduction, energy-saving measures, and other eco-friendly practices.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Engage clients, vendors, and venue partners in your sustainability efforts. Many will be happy to support your goals if they align with their own values.
Measure and Report: Track the outcomes of your sustainability initiatives. Monitor waste reduction, energy savings, and attendee feedback, and adjust your strategy accordingly. Reporting on these efforts can also help attract environmentally conscious clients.
Conclusion
Sustainability is no longer an option but a necessity in today’s event management landscape. By adopting eco-friendly practices, a small event management company can reduce its environmental impact, meet client expectations, and gain a competitive edge.
